To answer the question: Who is Dwight Jones? Here’s a little bio about myself.
I grew up in a small town called Musgrave Hr. Newfoundland for the first 13 years of my life. When I was 13 my family moved here to Alberta. We settled in Fort McMurray where I lived for 18 years. I loved it there. In 2013 I moved to Edmonton and I have fallen in love with this amazing city. The dynamics here are endless. I have met a lot of happy people here and it’s a great place to call home. The future growth for Edmonton is very exciting and I am glad to be a part of it.
We all have belief systems. A part of mine is about “Happiness”. We all make choices daily. Whether it is a choice to take care of our health, family or finances one end desire is common… happiness. What makes us happy? What is happiness? Some say it is being content, some say it is a never-ending pursuit to help others selflessly and some say that those who are truly happy are those who are vulnerable/truthful. I agree with all those statements.
For me one sources of happiness is giving the keys to a new homeowner. Why? At the risk of sounding cliché… because seeing their smiles, hearing them talk about how they're going to start their lives together, how they're going to raise their kids there, or how they are going to make it part of their investment portfolio… that is a true source of happiness for me.
What are some of the crazy things that I have done? I have skydived, bungee jumped, swam with sharks, swam with whale sharks, zip lined through a forest canopy in Honduras, traveled in a car with a solider holding a MK47 in northern Kenya so we wouldn’t get killed for our water that we had, drove some fast cars on a track and got up to over 245km/hour and other fun things as well.
What are some cool places I have been/lived? I have lived in Australia for 9 months, lived in Kenya for 1 month and Jamaica also. I have traveled to Trinidad & Tobago, Kenya, England, Uganda, Belize, Honduras, Bahamas, Mexico, Hawaii, everywhere in Canada but for PEI (hoping to go there soon) and the NWT, & been to a lot of the US. I love to travel and it has shaped my life a lot. I learned about cross cultures and how diverse the world is.
Why am I a Real Estate Agent aka a REALTOR®? The nutshell answer is because I love helping people make smart and wise decisions. I always aim to do such a great job for people that they tell all their friends and family about me. I have been in real estate now since 2005 and I have loved helping my clients over the years.
That said there’s much more to the buying and selling process than meets the eye— behind the ‘For Sale’ sign or the ‘buying experience’ is an ongoing network of decisions, obstacles and processes. It is my responsibility to help you navigate the changing market and assist you through those tough decisions. As a trusted REALTOR® I have had the pleasure of assisting residents in The City of Edmonton plus surrounding areas and Fort McMurray. I have also assisted Edmonton residents looking to downsize, couples searching for move-up properties, and first-time homebuyers. Whatever your needs are, you need not worry where you are along the way— as I am patient with all of my clients and respect their timelines. As a result, this client respect and customer satisfaction has not gone unnoticed. I have received a number of awards and achievements in real estate including the International President’s Elite Club and the TOP 1% International Sales Award for Coldwell Banker International and I was also listed within the Top 3 in Coldwell Banker Western Canada. Since my time at Re/Max Real Estate in Edmonton I have also obtained #1 ranking for our office.
In addition to my real estate license, I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Communications with a focus in counseling. My educational background combined with my real estate experience has shaped my approach to the industry and I have a unique way of connecting with people. Real estate is a very exciting business to me, and I am honored to help people make the most important purchase of their lives. Whenever you are planning on buying or selling, it’s important to start a conversation with a professional.
Your Happiness is important to me and I am here to help you all along the way. Contact me with any of your questions or inquiries and I will be glad to be of service to you.
Thank you for your time in getting to know me a little, I am looking forward to chatting with you soon.
